Maastricht plays host to Zimbabwe’s future leaders

Through contacts at the Dutch Embassy in South Africa, 17 students in their early twenties from across Zimbabwe were able to organize themselves and come to Maastricht to study while being granted refugee status in the Netherlands. “We declined a system that arrested our human rights,” says Themba Maphenduka, “that is why we are in Maastricht today.” A report by Alex Derry for Crossroads.
