Weekend breaks weather records

Saturday was the earliest official day of summer temperatures and Sunday the hottest April day on record, weather bureau KNMI reported.
On Saturday April 14, temperatures reached over 25 degrees at the De Bilt weather station, one day earlier than the previous record set in 1904. And on Sunday, the thermometer in De Bilt hit 28.9 degrees – the highest temperature ever recorded in April.
