Until 23rd Dec: Winterland Maastricht: a photo-reportage

Maastricht celebrates the season of goodwill with Winterland Maastricht on the Vrijthof. Visitors can enjoy ice skating on a huge rink, a fairground with a big ferris wheel, bands, concerts, a Christmas train and a Christmas market. Gluhwein (warm red wine), hot chocolate and pancakes in the square round off a magical experience for all the family.

New this year: “Het Huis van Servatius” (The House of Servaas)
Next to the Ice Bar – where all the drinks are served at below zero degree Celsius – stands a new Winterland attraction called Het Huis van Servatius. Here visitors will discover the rich history of Maastricht – from the early Neanderthal settlements on the banks of the Maas river to the launching of the Euro!

Also new this year: A floating Chritmas Market on the Maas river
Discover Maastricht’s floating Christmas Market onboard the Geulvallei at the Kesselskade from November 25th to December 23rd.

Opening hours: Mondays 1pm – 6pm, Thursdays 10am – 9pm, Tuesdays / Wednesdays / Fridays 10 am – 6pm , Saturdays 10am – 5pm. Entrance is free.
